For those who know me, it’s no secret that I am a massive sucker for an inspirational quote here and there. For those who don’t know me, I’m practically the conductor of the inspirational quote train- the queen of quotes, if you will…
There’s something about reading the words that just makes my tummy flutter in determination, it gives me a boost of inspiration that i’d been lacking. So whenever I feel like I’ve had a very unproductive day, or just feel a little crappy, I can count on my Pinterest board of wise words to have me feeling like myself again in no time. If that fails, well then time for a little pep talk…
“The most beautiful people wear there hearts on their sleeves, and their souls in their smiles” – Mark Anthony.
I think this is saying so much and I love it. I try to live by it. Its saying be real, be kind, be loving, be caring, be brave and bold. Put yourself out there for the world to see and don’t hide yourself. Its telling us to show our joy, love, light and dark to everyone. Its beautiful to be a real, truthful, and nice person.
“You don’t need everybody to love you, just a few good people” – Charity Barnum
Ok, I don’t think I’m ever going to lose the love for The Greatest Showman (if you still haven’t seen it, who even are you?). This is a YES from me. Stop trying to please absolutely everybody and focus on the people that really matter in your life.
“Normality is a paved road; it is a comfortable walk, but no flowers grow on it” – Vincent van Gogh
Vincent van Gogh used to eat yellow paint because he believed that yellow stood for the sun, and he thought that if he ate it then it would litterally put happiness inside of him. It’s a little sad if you think about it, but striving for happiness is the goal and getting there means taking chances, believing in yourself and finding our own yellow paint.
“Be where you are, otherwise you will miss your life” -Buddha
No matter where you are or what you are doing, be present and seize everything that your life IS otherwise you’ll wonder where it went. Goals, achievements, qualifications and future plans are all important, but sometimes its also important to take a minute and just embrace how your life is right now- celebrate it.
