Thursday Faves- WEDDING MAKE UP PRODUCTS

Strolling the streets of Wales yesterday I was thinking to myself, oh I do love me a good wedding. They are my absolute favourite kind of work- a day full of happiness, joy and glowing smiles. I love chatting to all my brides about their favourite kinds of make up and what kind of look they are looking for on their wedding day. Most wedding make up sways towards that natural, fresh faced and radiant skin and soft eyes- my favourite.

I have found that over the weddings and bridal trials that I’ve done I

have almost collected a holy grail of bridal products that I use for pretty much every single bride now. All of these products last so well, look flawless and feel great on the skin. So lets get goin’ shall we?

ps. This list excludes foundations as there are so many favourites that foundations need their own list!

1. Charlotte Tilbury Bronze and Glow. (Light-medium)

This bronzer is one of my absolute favourite things to use on a wedding day. The colour is so beautiful- a buttery and warm tone which literally leaves you looking like you’ve been sunning it up on the beach for a week. The flecked shimmer through the bronzer gives it something a bit extra I think.

2. Bobbi Brown Highlighting Powder. (Opal Glow)

Best snatch this one up in bulk I think since its a limited edition highlighter from Bobbi Brown. I love a pinky highlighter for a bridal look because it gives such a fresh finish where as, sometimes, a more golden or white highlighter can look too bold. Be sure to go sparing on highlighted products for bridal looks- too much will cause a bit of glare back on any photos taken with a flash!

3. Eyelure Pro Lash Individuals. (Mix of lengths)

Individual lashes give that fluttery, soft and very pretty lash look. I like to add the mix of lengths to create a whispy full look or add them smaller at the inner corner getting longer to the outer corner for that feline feel.

4. Nars Blush (Orgasm and Threesome)

These two blushers are perfect for wedding day looks. In my opinion, this is what finishes off a bridal look (and any look if it was up to me) they add just the right amount of colour and really pop the cheeks when applied to the right places.

5. The Balm Blush (Hot Mama)

I love to use this blush as a highlighting powder too. Like I said, I try to avoid using too many illuminating products for bridal looks due to flashback worries, however, this blush makes for such a gorgeous highlighting blush that I LOVE using on fair brides that want more of a bronzed and glowing look. Perfect.

6. Benefit Mascara (They’re Real)

This is a great mascara for a long day- it is sooooo heavy duty which is exactly what you want on your wedding day! Something thats not going to come off with any tears of happiness or eyelid sweat (gross I know, soz). Gives really good volume and a great black shade with not many coats needed.

7. Inglot Gel liner (77)

This is a great matte black liner which is easily applied using an angled brush (the Zoeva cosmetics angled liner brush is my favourite!) This is my favourite way to add a winged liner to the eye as its much less hassle than trying to draw on your liner with a felt brush or pencil. MUCH easier when applying to somebody else eyes.

8. Mac Lipstick (Angel and Kinda Sexy)

I LOVE this combo of lips for a bridal look. I start by adding Kinda Sexy which is more matte so I find this is a great base colour as it is likely to stay on longer than a glossy finish. Angel is the perfect bridal tone- its a soft cool pink tone with flecks of shimmer and a very creamy finish on the lips which feels nourishing and plump.

9. Rimmel Stay Matte Powder (all shades)

As a make up artist that has quite oily skin I have tried SO many powders out to try and keep my skin looking fresh all day without getting greasy, and I can honestly say that the best one I have ever found is the Rimmel stay matte. I absolutely love it and its so affordable which is a mega bonus! I have all the shades in my kit for my brides and I would recommend it to everybody!

10. Tarte Palette (In bloom)

This palette has every colour you could need for a soft bridal eye. I would definitely recommend to any new wedding make up artists that you invest in this palette as your first. Its got a beautiful range of matte browns, a beautiful Burgundy shade, a selection of shimmers and grey tones and a beautiful soft pink colour. All the colours can be used in a bridal look and they are so creamy and blendable!

OH I just want to use them all now! Let me know in the comments below if you have any holy grail make up products that I should try out! I LOVE trying new products and seeing what other people have been loving so be sure to let me know!

With love, always.
