Welcome to the Movie Club

This is a post to share my favourite movies and TV series of the moment. Its no secret that I’m an endless Netflix scroller, however, recently I’ve been watching more recommended films and TV series to avoid that constant scroll effect when I go to choose.

GENRE: Teen Romance

Do you love a teen rom com? I absolutely LOVE them, call me a loser but I think they’re actually my favourite genre of movie (obviously they get extra points for being Christmassy, dystopian or for starring a hot guy…) I think it comes down to my love for all things cheesy and corny.

I’ve put together a little list of my favourite TV series and Movies for the TEEN ROMANCE genre, and before you ask, I am definitely guilty of rewatching some of these 100 times.

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina- OH, how I loved this. This series has filled that little hole that the ending of Vampire Diaries left (slightly dramatic, but hey). I loved this, though it took me a while to get through it as a lot seemed to happen in every episode. I loved the characters, the story line and the familiarity of it.

Riverdale- So much teen drama, so many cliffhangers and Riverdale just seems to get better with each season. I’ll admit, I wasn’t such a fan when I first started Riverdale- I thought it was lacking a great storyline and I didn’t really like any of the characters- but, I have grown to LOVE it. Watch this if you loved PLL.

Gilmore Girls- This is a classic go-to for this time of year. Its like the ‘friends’ of winter to me. I remember watching Gilmore Girls everyday on e4 at 4pm when we got in from school. If you haven’t seen Gilmore Girls, then give it a go. Its an easy watching, lovely little story that follows a mother and daughter through life.

Shadow Hunters- I actually read The Mortal Instruments series from the moment the first book was released. I loved it, the story line was so different and right up my street with a supernatural element. It was probably the book series that sparked my love for fantasy teen novels. Shadow hunters doesn’t quite live up to the standards I had hoped for, HOWEVER, I am giving it a go!

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before- I absolutely loved this film, it made me smile so much and was such an easy watch.

The Kissing Booth- I liked this one, there was something about the film that I didn’t LOVE, but 100% worth the watch if you love a teen rom com.

The Princess Switch- CHRISTMAS BONUS POINTS! I loved this film! Now, its technically not a ‘teen’ movie, however, it definitely felt like one. Get yourself in the Crimbo spirit with this one!

The Prince & Me- An all time favourite of mine! College romance between a farm girl and a Prince.

Sydney White– Amanda Bynes is always a recipe for a funny teen movie. An oldie but a goodie, definitely watch if you haven’t already.

Sierra Burgess Is A Loser- This movie gave me all the feels. I really enjoyed the whole storyline and all the characters were so lovable.

Chalet Girl- Do you need anymore reason to watch this than the fact that this stars Chuck from Gossip Girl?

Twilight series- Every time I see this on Netflix I am so tempted to watch it over and over again. Bella and Edward, the couple of goals to the vampire world.

I have only included TV and Movies that are available on Netflix at the moment and there are a few more on my list that i’m dying to see: A Christmas Prince, Hope Springs Eternal and Forever My Girl. Have you seen any teen romance that you LOVE at the moment?
